Scans of the various ports of entry |
The large size Especial De Aduanas stamps began in the 1885-86 fiscal year and ended in 1892-93 fiscal year. For the next three years Revenue stamps were overprinted "ADUANAS DE _(the port of entry)_" with either an overprint of the port name or a perfin, or both, and sometime seen with a 3mm or 4mm hole punch. The 1893-94 Documentos y Libros Revenues had "Aduanas De___ " overprinted on 12 values, 1c to 50 pesos. The 1894-95 Documentos y Libros Revenues had "Aduanas De___ " on 11 values, 1c to 50 pesos, but not 25 pesos. Finally, the 1895-96 Renta Interior Revenues had "Aduanas De___ " printed on 10 values, but had no 3 centavos nor 25 pesos values in the set.
The following are place names are known to be in perfins on aduanas: Acupulco, Altata, Ascensión, Cabo San Lucas, Camargo, Campeche, Frontera, Isla del Carmen, Laredo (2 known perfins), Matamoros, Mazatlán, Mier, Paso del Norte (Cuidad Juarez; 4 known perfins), Piedras Negras (2 known perfins), La Paz, Progreso, Puerto Ángel, San Blas, Tampico (2 known perfins), Tijuana, Todos Santos, Tonalá, Tuxpan and Veracruz (4 known perfins).
